Midas came along for the trip..... I was a little worried about this, but the whole trip was a blast. No drama! Shocking!
We all went shopping at the outlet mall in Lincoln City, and I got some new tennis shoes for $35(normally $60), which I desperately needed. We all stayed up late, played Blackjack, and Egyptian Rat Poo, then went for a night walk on the beach. I jumped in the water. Yes me. I know, I'm shocked too. It was roughly 40 degrees. Oh yea, the water was too. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
On our second day, we got an early start, and everyone was showered, full of breakfast, and ready to go by 9am, and we headed to Depot Bay. We got coffees and teas at a teeny tiny coffee shop, and did some more shopping at the tourist traps. Every one of these little shops was packed to the gills with t-shirts, baseball caps, key chains, and thousands of random items that a pack-rat would just squeal over. I got a magnet. lol Hey now, my fridge still has some room on it. =)
On our way back up north, we stopped at Moe's in Lincoln City for lunch. World's best clam chowder, my butt. Bland, tasteless, slop. Next time, I'm taking everyone to The Chowder Bowl. Apparently there is one in Depot Bay I didn't know about. *giddy*
After lunch, we went for another walk on the beach, and spent 2 hours picking up shells. Midas had the score of all scores. People typically peck the beach clean by 6am. He managed to find some awesome full-sized shells. We're going to build a nifty little center-piece for the hearth over his fireplace. He's really excited.
Pseudo texted me several times, and he got ignored. I wanted NO drama on this short trip. Mr. Niceguy texted several times as well, and we agreed he's coming with us next time we make this trip. I think next time though, it'll just be me.
Anyway.... We all had a fantastic time, and I've included some pics below:

Shops in Depot Bay. I told Midas to lay off the camera. He didn't listen. So he got a dose of my scowl.... ;-)
