So I still don't have the camping pictures off the camera, because my pc destroys them. I need to dig out my laptop to get them saved and in a blog. As soon as I do, you'll all get the long and short of my trip. In the mean time, since I randomly woke up after only a couple hours of sleep, I thought I'd share an update in my sleepy stupor.
My back is still bothering me. After spending a few days hunched over a camp-fire, my lower back gave in. I am a little surprised that after two weeks of being home, it's still crabby though. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, even though I'm sure it'll be gone by Friday. *le sigh*
I have been spending a lot, A LOT of time with Mr. Niceguy. Because 1) He's an absolute sweetheart, and 2) Midas' issues have been driving me insane. Niceguy is fabulous. We talk, play board games, watch movies, just generally hang out together. He still drags me downtown on occasion, which is always fun. On the days I stay home, which are becoming fewer, we text message each other for hours. Almost seems to defeat the purpose of me staying home, lol. He won't come over here anymore because the last time(nearing two months ago), Midas had a jealous fit, and made me very upset. So now we spend time together at his place. =) Niceguy's roommates are also just awesome. It's a typical bachelor pad though, with one small difference. Niceguy and his two roomie's either used to be or are currently chef's. I have had some of the most amazing food there! If you can handle the swearing and dealing with the toilet seat, lol, it's well worth it.
So to further explain, Midas is still very clingy, and his random whining and fits are quite literally making me want to drop-kick him. They are random though, so we may get a few or even a week of good days, and then one really bad one. I am trying to give him the room and support he needs to get through all this, but it's getting to the point, where being roommates may simply be the worst way to approach this situation. I may need to start looking for another one. Last night was fun though. He was upset that I'd spent so much time away in the last week, so I promised him I'd stay home, and we'd hang out. We had dinner and watched the new Star Trek movie. I LOVE that movie by the way! I tried to keep Niceguy from creeping into the evening, as that is typically was sets Midas off. Niceguy was wonderful, as usual, and kept his text messages to a minimum. Anyways, so we have one good night so far. Monday was not. We'll see how tonight goes....
Aside from those little spats, life is good. Jobs are starting to open up all over the area, so potential for something decent is out there. I've updated my resume, again, and am sending it out, again.... I can only hope that I have a job before the end of the year, as I am losing my mind in this apartment.
New subject....
Mom made me promise not to "purchase" anything for the kiddos this year. So in keeping with the tradition I've apparently started, the kids are all getting scarves again. I did however decide to add something to it. Lord knows, I have enough yarn in boxes to toss in something extra. So I've got 6 colors, and several different kinds of yarn. I figure I'll ship them all, and let the kids cannibalize the box. lol =)
Trying to decide if I'm going to set up the Christmas tree this year. I may just pin a garland to the wall in the shape of a tree. The tree was such a pain to put up and take down last year, I'm not sure I can handle another year without setting fire to it. The tree is so old, the only thing that holds it together is the strands of lights. lol
Well, I should try to get a little more sleep before I need to take Midas to work. If I can get my laptop dug out today, I'll try to get the camping blog up this evening.
Much love to all!
