New Job!

Apparently my interview went VERY well! They requested references, and asked for permission to run a background check on Friday.

Also requested were references from two previous supervisors. *screech* Huh?

I only had one in my list. So began the frantic search for contact information. I tried the one person I thought would give me a great reference, and got no response. So moved on to two others. Both of them responded, and this evening I got the e-mail.

"I am routing your offer for approvals and am targeting 2/8/10 as your start date.

I will get the offer letter to you tomorrow by email."

It's been a difficult 8 months, this last month more than all combined, but it appears I have a job! A great one at that! Working with and for people I've worked with before, just with another company.

I am so excited!

I was also told on Friday, that because of my experience, they felt it would be better to bring me on making more than what I was making previously. Apparently the recruiter believes if you're taking a new opportunity, it should be an advancement and not a lateral move. I will be joining this team with an $3200 annual increase over what I was making previously. Not much to some. Huge to me!

YIPPEE!!!!!

ROCK ON!!! We all know to well the feeling of being "unemployed" or "layoff" ... Dylan is lucky he lived through his layoff, I wanted to kick him out of the house everyday, the bits of money we were getting from unemployment didnt bother me so much, we made things work... him being home ALLLLL the time is what killed me! lol...
