I think that about covers it. I am slowly recovering from the funk I was in last week. So are all my coworkers. Seems it affected the majority of my team. Everyone was just angry last week.
I make it a point to live my life by the statement "Attitudes are contagious". I want people to smile around me, as it makes me smile. I think my frustration last week was a carry-over from everyone I'm surrounded by. Niceguy excluded of course, as he's always happy. Hard to be happy and joyful when everyone around you is super angry.
Oh well, seems everyone came back from the weekend with a renewed vision of what the week is supposed to be like. Lots of smiles. I still find myself getting easily irritated, but I'm more able to funnel it into something productive rather than snap at people. Nice to have some of that self-control back.
Niceguy and I had a wonderful weekend at the beach. We camped at a campground we hadn't been to before so we could attend a volunteer beach cleanup with SOLV. It was great! I got to go to a cute little city I hadn't visited yet. We picked up garbage on the beach for about an hour and a half, then hit all the little tourist shops. There was a huge arcade, and anyone that knows Niceguy and I, will know we spent a considerable amount of time there. Niceguy won a ton of tickets, and got himself a really awesome Oregon shot-glass. I got a slinky! =)
We spent the rest of the weekend at the campground, discussing our future website. Yes, we're building a website. We love to travel all over this beautiful state, and we want folks to know exactly what we've seen. The best restaurants, beaches, shops, campgrounds, tips on where to get various items, etc... We'll allow folks to post their own comments and rate businesses and locations. It's going to take a while to put together, but because of how much we visit the coast we'll have plenty of content to start out. As well, it's motivating us to visit new places. New restaurants instead of old favorites. You get the idea. I'll be sure to post the site address as soon as it's up.
I'll post a few pictures from the trip later tonight. Niceguy and I are planning to return to that campground only once to see if the other side of it is better than the beach-side. If it is, we might return, but I was not happy with it. More details when I post the pictures.
Work is good; projects are finally coming to a close.
Money is great; things are finally calming down, and I was able to pay half of my late credit card payment. I'll pay the whole thing when it's due. That'll be 150% of the due payment. I'll do it again in October, and will finally be caught up. I was able to put money into savings for the first time in over a year. Very pleased with that. It's not much, but it's something.
Home is wonderful as always. I have the most amazing boyfriend. He is just wonderful! Supportive, sweet, caring, generous, loving, adorable, funny.... Blah blah blah, I'll spare you the googly stuff. Lizzie still hates him, but she hates everyone.
We've started looking at neighborhoods that we'd like to consider for our move next year. We'll have to wait and see how that turns out. Need to save up money and get organized first. Plus finding a place that will take three cats is going to be a challenge. *shrug* We'll know when we cross that bridge.
I do have some semi-big news. The ex-husband got married on Sunday. Shocking! He was updating his Facebook and sending messages during the reception. Sad.... Oh well. Apparently his grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so they pushed the date up so she could attend. Unfortunately though she did not make it.
They are however, very happy, and looking forward to their honeymoon.
Anyways, I should make an attempt to work today. Pictures coming tonight-ish. ;-)
Love to all!!!!
