Well my life has been no short of a circus lately.
Amidst the job hunting, and random text messages regarding openings here and there, I've been getting a lot done at home, and spending a lot of time with friends I'd neglected while working at my last job.
Midas and I spent most of last weekend together, just hanging out, getting things organized, and planning stuff to do around my apartment. Sunday, we went to the zoo with DJ, Nicole, and their little one Abigail. That was a blast. Pictures are still on the camera, and will take some time to pull off. I'll put some up this weekend.
Monday, my roomie decided was the day to move out. I'm so happy for her and her boy. They have a beautiful apartment that overlooks the city, and is impeccably decorated. The 4 flights of stairs are not fun, but it only took us a few hours to get her moved out of my apartment, and into their new home together. It was fun, and the steaks he made for us afterward were amazing. That is no understatement. Easily one of the best, if not the best steak I have ever had. I tell ya, that man can cook! Plus, he makes some of the best, and most potent Pina Coladas. lol
Tuesday, my friend Dan and I embarked on a day trip to the coast to visit his family, and hit the beach. I got to see Haystack Rock for the first time. That was an experience. It's HUGE! These pictures are on my phone, so again, pictures coming. Some how we managed to find the most expensive restaurant in Lincoln City, with the most disappointing food considering the cost. I will NEVER eat at Pier 101 again. More sad excuses for clam chowder. You'd think the coast would have good seafood. *sigh* Oh well....
Tuesday night, spent a couple hours hanging out with Niceguy. After the days I'd had of moving, driving, lots of walking, I was anxious for the break. We just vegged on the couch for a few hours.
Wednesday, I started cleaning and moving furniture. I found a very cheap carpet cleaner, and cleaned the "then" empty bedroom. Once the carpet was dry, I moved my enormous fish tank into it. I didn't feel like waiting for help. I filled the closet with Christmas and computer stuff, and then died on the sofa. Picked up Midas, and he hung out for a little while helping me plan the apartment layout.
Thursday, lots of cleaning and organizing. Got my new cheapo desk for the living room. It matches my tv-stand and dvd tower. =) Also picked up the new box for the X-mas tree! YAY! Finally got that thing out of the living room. We made a weird jambalaya dinner, that was fabulous, and put together my new desk.
Friday, so far..... Took my old desk apart and moved it into the office. Vacuumed out Malcolm's hiding place. Good grief that cat sheds.... Stretched my curtains across my now empty living room, and vacuumed off the cat hair. Set up my pc so I could write this novel. Now off to dinner with Niceguy, and then pick up Midas from work so we can refinish my coffee table tonight.
Weekend plans..... Saturday, with Midas, hang pictures after I shift my living room 3 feet. Finish refinishing the table. Saturday night, dinner with a girlfriend, then hang out with Niceguy. Sunday, more organizing in the office with Midas. We'll see if it all happens. lol
