Crispy anyone?

So back from a last minute trip to the beach! Let me explain:

So apparently my last apartment complex didn't think the mess I had to leave behind was as awful as I did. I got about $350 of my $650 deposit back! Ya know, $650 minus the furniture disposal fee for Midas' chair, the carpet cleaning fee, and carpet replacement fee, general cleaning, etc....

Anyways, Niceguy and I were going to go camping, but once we'd made the 2 hour drive out there, found out all the campgrounds were full. We got lucky though! We managed to find a super cheap motel in town, that was actually REALLY nice, considering it was only $93 for the entire weekend. I know! Shocking! Comfy bed, clean sheets(as far as I could tell), semi-soft pillows, overall not bad!

We picked up our usual assortment of goodies, and headed for the beach. We met some really nice people, and spent the entire night watching a partial lunar eclipse and hanging out with them. We got back to the room a little after 7am. I slept for a few hours, and then spent the next 3 hours waiting for Niceguy to get functional.

We hit the bookstore, Walmart, Freddy's, and Subway, and went back to the motel. We both had dinner, took a short nap, and then headed to the store to pick up firewood and munchies.

Heading back down to the beach, right at sunset was great! It was so beautiful! (*pictures coming*) Ironically, we bumped into the same people we'd hung out with the night before! So we added our stuff to their pile, and spent the rest of the night chit-chatting. We got back to the motel at about 3:30am, and crashed after 15-20 minutes of bad TV.

We bolted from the room at 11am, dug our books and a blanket out of the car, and headed back down to the beach. It was beautiful! Sun shining, breeze, warm, just gorgeous! We spent two hours on the beach, and decided to go get lunch to take a break from the blowing sand.

After a quick bite at Subway (*yes, again*), we headed to a different beach. I was already starting to show signs of a pretty bad sunburn from our two hours reading earlier, so we went for a quick walk up the beach, and then decided to head home.

Car died as soon as we got home. Niceguy had left the lights on again. Man, I need a new battery. lol

I am a crispy critter. Lots of pain! lol, but it was a great weekend, so small price to pay I suppose. Hopefully I'll be able to move a little quicker tomorrow. lol

Overall though, it was a great weekend! A little historical drama on Saturday that got resolved. Not as quickly as I'd like, but it's done, and that's what is important.

Anyways, semi-relaxing, semi-eventful weekend with an amazing man! It was a blast!

Gotta run though! Work calls!
