Can't sleep....

So a new day, and his first day at the new job. We're both very excited.

Not sure why I can't sleep. Have a bit on my mind, but nothing to be awake about. *shrug*

Figured, I'd stop in here and drop a line.

Nothing really going on. Money is still tight. Tighter than before since they let Niceguy go from his job earlier than we'd anticipated. So we're out a couple days of pay there.

Work is still a tad stressful, but no worse than usual. Boss dropped a few things on me last minute, which caused some important stuff to fall off the plate. Had to address those earlier this evening. Deadlines missed and such. Oh well. I'll figure out a way to correct the mistake, and prevent it from occurring again.

Things everywhere else are rather calm.

Spent the afternoon with Niceguy's parents. It had been a couple of months, so was nice to sit down and visit with his Mom. She's an absolute doll, and loves to chat. So I always have something to do when I'm over visiting. Niceguy spent the entire time working with his Dad to fix up their home network. Always the tech. lol

His Mom and I discussed the new job, a possible move, various locations, camping, etc. Niceguy and I are considering a place closer to work. A nicer, bigger apartment, or even a rental home until we can save enough money to consider buying a house. I let him know today, that that would be at least 4 years down the road, considering I'm wanting to save a minimum of 10%. Plus we need to fix our credit and get rid of debt. But rentals sound like a good path for us since we're both wanting to get a dog. *shrug* We'll see. Still a long way off.

Cats are good. Lizzie still hates him, and I think she's reached a new level of demon. She's most likely soon to blossom into something with horns I figure. She hides under and in things, and when he or I walk by, it's screeching and yowling like nothing I've ever heard from her before. This has only been going on the last couple of days, so hopefully it will pass quickly. I plan to contact a vet this week to get some information on any household products I can pick up for her. I've heard amazing stories about this cat pheromone thing, so may give that a shot. Malcolm is adorable as always. Super cuddly, and seeks Niceguy out when he can't find him. Too sweet!

So all in all, things for the moment are going well.

We're about to start planning our camping trips for the next year. The website we go through allows reservations 9 months in advance. Since we've experienced "Campground-Full" so much this year, we want to avoid that next year. Plus we can lock in the cheaper rates before they go up, just in case. So probably in November I'll be making reservations through next summer. Just after they go to their off-season rates. =)

Anyways, I need to get SOME sleep before I get up in a few hours. Going to try to count how many seconds it takes for me to cave in and turn on the A/C. lol
