Mom wants an update!

So here's an update.


Life's good! Niceguy started his new job, and is rolling along just fine. He goes live in production next Monday. Training was cake, as we expected. Just had to deal with a few little hiccups along the way.

Work is good. Sort of.... Issues surrounding my boss have me very concerned about him. His behavior today made it obvious he has the same concerns. He packed up all his personal items, and left 30 minutes early. There are rumors, emails, and assumptions being tossed around. Don't get me wrong, he's had some moments. Luckily for me, I've been told anyway, that I've never seen the worst of it like everyone else has. He's always been great with me. A couple of tense moments, but nothing like others have described. The last two weeks have been a witch-hunt, and I'm scared for him. This kind of drama in the work-place only makes me stressed.

I have a huge project I've been working on, which is just another example of where multiple departments have dropped the ball; however, I'm on it now, and it will be better. I won't settle for less than perfect.

Money is a nightmare. I'm not going to get into it. I get close to getting out of the hole, and my bank screws me again. Bank of America can kiss my butt. I think the goal is to keep me paying fees at this point. *sigh* Oh well, hopefully the referral bonus I get in a couple weeks will yank me completely out. We'll see.....


Anyways, things are good otherwise. Life at home is good. Calm and relaxed. No real stress at home. It's nice to be able to come home to that. And everyone knows, if you're stressed, time to cook or clean. My kitchen could be featured in a magazine it's so clean. I have cooked almost every night this last week. Maybe I'll make brownies tonight.... *shrug*

Niceguy and I are hoping to plan another beach trip soon, but with the shake-up at work, and his having just started there and about to move to a different schedule than me, it'll make things challenging for a while. We're both needing the break. Even if it's just for the day.

There is a place nearby that's near the river that we might check out.

We've got OMSI this weekend, as they have their free weekend. The guys are over now. Nice to have company, not so much with a headache. Hopefully it will pass before they leave.

There has been a lot of talk about moving closer to work and finding a nicer/bigger place. So I've started scanning the web for new apartments and rental properties. Hopefully by the time the lease is up on this place, we'll have enough saved up for the move. Time will tell.... =)

Anyways, I need to get back to company.
