She got a clear coat put on that will help prevent chips, and sun and weather damage. She also got a scotch-guard type treatment on the interior fabrics. They even gave us some cleaners and stuff to help keep her shiny shiny SHINY!

Yes, we added stickers. Gotta show our Oregon pride! =)
We actually both think the clear coat made the yellow look bolder. It's REALLY eye-catching now. Even one of our neighbors commented on it when we got home.
So, about the turn signals.... Turns out, both left turn signal bulbs burnt out at the same time! Even though they aren't covered under the warranty, they went on ahead and gave them to us for free anyway. We should have really paid for the light bulbs, if they'd followed the "at cost" agreement I mentioned in my last post.
So all in all, feeling a bit better about the dealership. At least the Parts and Service department.
So for the few hours she was in getting her mani-pedi-massage, we got a rental. I got to drive a CHARGER! Holy cow! That thing has some serious power! I will admit though, I have now decided I will never own one of this body/interior style. I definitely think, if you're planning to buy a new or near new car, try to find a rental and check it out for a day or so. Niceguy and I both were interested in Chargers until we got in to it. There's nothing wrong with the vehicle, there is just too much that doesn't fit our needs. A simple test drive would not have given us adequate time to really notice all the things we didn't like. In Dodge's defense though, it is a REALLY NICE CAR. The dash was my biggest issue. The dials were all the circular cups you see in most of the redesigned muscle cars today. While driving, I can only see 2 clearly. I have to actually move my head to see the rest. I'll stick with the flat dash, that way I can see everything. Regardless, it was worth the $7 we spent, to get to check it out for a few hours.
It was roomy though. Almost as much as the truck, which was surprising. The front end is a little longer than the mustang, which is manageable. If you put your foot lightly on the gas, the car barely moves, so you give it a bit more pressure, and it takes off. Not a normal take-off. More like whip-lash take-off. Too much get up and go in this bad girl. Although, I know when I wasn't looking Niceguy probably really tested her out.
Anyways, without further delay, a quick pic:
All in all, it was a good turnaround for a situation that could have ended with a bit of a fight. We're grateful for the dealership's efforts to make things right.Laundry and dishes are calling my name!
Love to all!!!
