Ironically, Oregon's so far, came the quickest, with a boat-load of stuff!

These are mostly books! Not little pamphlets, but 8x11 BOOKS! As well, we finally got the state highway map we wanted!
California was a HUGE disappointment.
A thin book, and 15-20 page pamphlet. The book includes a state map that highlights all the nice parts of the state, and a road map on the reverse. The entire thing is separated into separate page chunks...Arkansas came with some nice small 5x7 books, that will fit easily in a glove compartment, and include tons of information.

And Georgia, with the disappointing website, actually came out pretty strong in the information category. Lots of good information.
So the count! Oregon in the lead with Arkansas in a close second. Georgia pulling in a solid third. Then there's California, limping slowly many miles behind. The ultimate disappoint on such a beautiful and fun-filled state (so they say on their travel commercials). Sad....In the lead for shipping time, (yes, we are locals, and that is being taken in to consideration) Oregon has pulled a solid lead using Priority mail, and taking only a day and a half to arrive. Georgia in second with 8 days, Arkansas in third with 16 days, and again, California bringing up the rear with 18 days.
Most of the sites promise 7-10 day delivery. We shall see next week how much our Mail Carrier hates us. We've got some seriously large groups of packages coming our way.
Oklahoma had the most to choose from as I recall, although there were a few other states that were close. Order as much as you want of 40+ pamphlets and guides. Don't mind if I do!
There was another state, I can't recall which, I'm sorry, that had the state broken out in 6 chunks (might have been Oklahoma again). NE, SE, North Central, South Central, NW, SW. Each chunk had averaging 10+ pamphlets and guides per!
For the first time since moving in, we're checking the mail every day! Should help our Mail Dude not have to cram stuff in the tiny mailbox. Although the Oregon shipment was in the package box. We are hugely excited about all this.
I'm enjoying the race, and the flood of information we're getting about this amazing country. I encourage each of you to grab a guide and have some fun!
Love to all!

Can't I be lazy and just call you for information now?
I don't have the space for all the phamplets.
What state are you guys going to go to first? You can't count Oregon. Its the state you live in. So if your going to do this right, will it be a state close by or are you going to drive through a couple of states and start in Idaho? Utah? Colorado? Montana? or how about Maine?, and then work your way back across the country. How exciting!
