I couldn't even recall how long it had been since the last time I'd posted here without logging in to check. I figured that was probably a good sign that an update was needed. Although, there's really not too much going on.
Thanksgiving came and went. We had a wonderful Pre-Thanksgiving at Niceguy's parent's place, and an amazing "Thanksgiving Pie" from the leftovers actually on Thanksgiving. We had actually planned to have Niceguy's parents over on Thanksgiving, but finances are what they are, and we have had to push that closer to Christmas.
However, I had been buying bits and pieces of what we needed for the last couple of months, so the day after Thanksgiving, I whipped up a few tasty dishes for Niceguy and myself, and since our apartment is apparently the place to be, we had several people drop by that evening, that decided to enjoy the munchies.
I want to thank my Mother for the advice on the Stuffing and the Potatoes Peru. They, for the first time, came out perfectly, minus a couple ingredients, but they were a huge hit. I still had a can of sweet potatoes from last year, so blended up a small batch minus the marshmallows. I think the only dish I actually had everything for, was the Green Bean Casserole, which, with freshly shredded Tillamook cheese, is always a HUGE hit.

Black Friday post was here, but I moved it to it's own post since it quickly became it's own novel.

Since Black Friday, things have been rather calm, for the most part.
Work is work. Bills are bills.
Lizzie had her teeth cleaned, and a couple of teeth pulled. That was fun. No seriously. Take demon cat, and yank a couple of her teeth. Yep, awesome.
She's great now. She is so sick of soft-food that she's forcing herself to try and eat hard-food. I actually find the smacking entertaining for the first 20 seconds, then I get annoyed and water it down for her.
We had a couple of unexpected expenses roll through the mail. Oh yay...... So we're very happy that Niceguy's work has opened the door for overtime again. As well, he's expected to get double-time the entire week after Christmas. Plus a bonus some time in January, we might just be able to squeak by on all this stuff.
Bestie moved away over the weekend. Not sure how I feel about all this. I know it's for the best, but I'm totally going to miss her. Really pushing Skype, so hopefully we'll be able to vid chat on occasion.
Speaking of the move, I am a wreck. I pulled my shoulder on Thanksgiving, still not sure how. I seem to have wrecked my knee on Saturday while going up and down several flights of stairs over and over. And this morning, I woke up in so much pain, and coupled with nausea..... It did not end well. What gives body?!!? Why you no cooperate anymore?! *hmph*
Finished going through all the stuff I finally got back from the ex-husband. I took 20 boxes, and reduced it down to 5. Donated almost all of the rest. Got the living room cleaned, and the house organized. All the boxes shoved in to the 2nd bedroom, which is now packed floor to ceiling. I like my clean house. Problem..... *dun dun dun* The Christmas tree and all the ornaments(camping gear too) are stacked neatly on the opposite side of the room from the door. Behind 8 ft x 8ft x 6.5ft of boxes and stuff. Good thing I put the two little trees on top of the china hutch, and with the help of the broom, and the desk chair, I was able to creatively shift them towards the door. So I have my little fiber-optic tree keeping me company by my desk.
We're hoping to move in to a bigger place next summer, so hopefully, I'll think to pack that stuff better next time. lol
Anyways, I think I've been typing for about an hour and a half, and since I'm home, feeling like death, I should still be somewhat productive.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and in case I miss you, have an amazing Holiday!
Love to all!!!
