I forgot! --- Rant continued....

I totally forgot about the campsite stuff.

Thanks Mom for the awesome heater!!! Niceguy and I are so excited to try it out before our next trip!! =)

So because I feel the need to rant a bit more, here's the campsite fiasco that I apparently spaced during my last rant considering the extreme nature of the financial subject matter. *shrug*

We got there, ran to the window, and got the LAST spot available. It was next to the bathroom, but we were so excited, we didn't care. Aside from the insane amount of rocks, stares from passers by, and random loud noises during the night and early morning, it wasn't a bad spot.

Pulling out the tent, we notice it's wet. Not sure how it happened, but it's wet. Very wet.... So wet in fact, that the colors had bled, and we now have a nearly camouflage tent. It must have been wet for a while. Not to forget the smell, and the lime/calcium/rust caked on all the zippers. Oh wow, the smell.... Fe-breeze was a gift from the heavens! I tell ya! So now we're looking into investing in a new tent. Hopefully I'll be able to find the same one, as we both love it.

Over night Friday night, the bed went flat. It had looked low before bed, so we added more air. It didn't work. *sigh* I woke up in the middle of the night with my butt on the ground, and back supported by the rocks I mentioned above. Niceguy was sleeping so soundly I didn't want to wake him to refill the bed. So I forced myself to go back to sleep. When we woke finally, the bed was completely flat. It took less than 15 seconds to suck the air out after we bought a new mattress. Typically it takes a couple of minutes.

Our wonderful sleeping bag? Yes, it continues.... The zipper broke somehow, and the teeth now separate half-way down the side, my side. It takes a couple minutes to yank the zipper pull down and over that spot to get it zipped back up. I gave up and just bundled up under the extra comforter I always bring with us. That'll be fun to fix.

Such is fun!!!

Today I figured out my tail-light isn't out. It started working again.... Yay! I have a short! *grumble* Anyone have a winning lottery ticket they'd like to part with? lol

It figures.... Oh well. Again, such is life. It's just stuff, and it can all be replaced with time.
