Things have been so good, it was inevitable....

Like the title says, things have been so good something frustrating or stressful was bound to come along.

*WARNING*** Long rant ahead ***WARNING*

Naturally it was payday. Niceguy and I are heading to the beach. I'm in the positive for the first time in almost 9 months. It's going to be a great weekend. Dun dun dun.... I spoke too soon..... *grumble*

We managed to get the last spot at the campground(YAY!), got everything set up, and headed in to town to pick up wood and dinner.

Relaxing afterward in front of a very warm campfire, playing Farkle and listening to great tunes, it suddenly dawns on Niceguy that there is something hugely important we need to handle on Saturday.

Dropping the bomb on me, he tells me we need to run back into town in the morning to handle a 72-hour notice we'd received from the apartment complex for some late fee that had occurred long before I'd moved in. Uh, what? He said he'd told me although I couldn't recall ever hearing about it. *sigh*

So first thing Saturday morning, we're on our way back to town. Leaving our wonderful campsite and the beautiful beach waiting for our return. Back in town 2 hours later, and I pull out what money I had stashed for rent. Niceguy calls his online bank service to confirm his direct deposit had started, and is transferred to the fraud department. Um.....

10 minutes later, we've confirmed purchases he's made, and are being told his debit/atm card is non-functional, and we have to wait for a new one. WHAT?! It's almost 4pm, all the banks are closed. We can't get any money!!! So we head to my bank again, and I withdraw to my daily limit. *grumble* We are still several hundred short, with only 8 hours until the notice expires and we are officially evicted. After a couple of phone calls, we were able to get the money we needed with the expectation that I, yes ME, would pay the individual back within 24 hours. I was a mess. Panicking, fighting back tears, and very very VERY angry. That money was reserved to get my credit card caught back up. Who cares, we still have a place to live.

After speaking to someone from one of his bank's branches, we find out the idiot on the phone could have unlocked Niceguy's card, he just chose not to. I don't give a damn what his reasoning was, I'm now out several hundred dollars in overdraft fees because of all the charges at the beach that hadn't settled before I yanked my last $1000 out of my account. Niceguy is going to raise all sorts of hell with his bank tomorrow, but he did immediately sign over his paycheck to me. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done.

So once we'd dropped off the money order, we grabbed some wood, and headed back to our little campsite on the beach. With the promise of a wonderful night, we tried to put the mess of the day behind us and enjoy our last night for another month, on the beach. Two hours of warm fire at the campsite, and another three on the beach. Staring at the beautifully clear night, and amazing stars. Seeing the big dipper larger than I ever had before. It covered the entire northern sky. It was so amazing!

Although I'm overdrawn, again. The day was stressful beyond anything I can truly express, again. I can honestly say that my weekend was wonderful! Niceguy is the most amazing man in the world. He is so relaxed, and calm through anything. Don't worry, we'll get through it, he says. I love him for his optimism. He made the night on the beach take away all the stress. Relaxing under the stars, and listening to the waves. The warmth of a big fire. It's so awesome! I couldn't have asked for anything more.

We came back early today, as I had a lunch date. That fell through.....

Back in town for two hours, Niceguy goes to drop off a DVD at a friend's house, and gets pulled over. I have a tail-light out, and no money to fix it. Luckily the cop let him off with a warning.

*sigh* It will get better. It's only money. *grunt*

Life goes on.

I needed to vent, thanks for reading.

Love to all!!!
